The webinar aims to share the experience of scientists and policymakers about HBM, its role in informed decision-making to reduce chemicals impact on health and the environment, and the cooperation for its constructive use. International and national projects on HBM will be presented, along with examples of actions taken on a national or regional level to protect human health based on HBM results.
The presentations will address, among others, how to:
- design HBM surveys, including targeted surveys,
- use HBM for a multitude of purposes in environment and health science and policy-making,
- design communication strategies, which is an integral part of HBM and involves engagement with many stakeholders during all phases of HBM projects,
- follow ethical and scientific standards for carrying out biomedical research on human subjects.
The agenda and the list of speakers will be distributed in advance of the webinar to registered participants.
The webinar is open to members of the WHO Chemicals Risk Assessment Network and other health stakeholders.
